Frequently Shared Docs: C-Suite Leadership, Product v Program Management, Coaching Groups, and Anti-Glossary

Four frequently shared documents that I’ve sent recently to teams and individuals I work with on leadership, product, design, technology, and business.

  1. Product management versus program management — Two functions that work together to shape, guide, and measure progress for effective software delivery; partnering with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and many other functions
  2. Flavors of executive leaders: what is a CTO, CPO, COO, etc.? — How to think critically about a career path toward senior leadership, where the title isn’t as important as the responsibilities, scope, and impact
  3. Executive coaching groups — I believe that peer-driven cohort learning is a proven way to grow as leader while gaining lifelong friendships
  4. Anti-glossary — Words matter for clear communication and human-first intent where we invest in each other as people instead of as “assets and resources” to be spent and discarded

For leaders who want to stand out from the crowd, I send guides like this to help them frame a clear mission and know their worth. Where I’ve asked the same questions not too long ago… one step ahead on the journey.
